Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat

Madekwe was born South London, England into a family of mixed blood. She has a father who is Nigerian and Swiss and her mother is English. She was raised on a council estate in the south of London. At the age 14, she attended The Brit School. At the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she earned an acting BA. At school, she was a part-time actor in several stage productions, including the King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe's acting career began in the series Storm Damage. In the years since she has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Madekwe scored her first motion picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. Her parents Roy and Patty, as well as her four brothers, Brett, Todd, and Bram, were all present. Ashley's sports brothers played baseball during summers and hockey during winters. Ashley did not have the ability to actually walk. She danced. So when she was just 2 1/2 years old and a half, she began to take part in Baby Ballet. Ashley became a dancer from that moment.
