Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey started at the age of 14. She trained in boxing kickboxing BJJ and wrestling before completing her debut as an amateur at the age of 18 at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd took advantage of this win and then went on to a three-fight victory streak in Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round of all fights. In WCFC Ladd fought, she defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen was already defeated Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking against Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia gave Aspen a unanimous defeat and beat her in a match that tarnished Ladd's amateur career. Ladd recovered from this loss to beat Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight one. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to make her debut as a pro. Invicta fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011 and won via one-round TKO. Invicta Fighter Championships 16. Ladd continued to dominate and racked up an stunning victory in her next bout against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229. Ladd took on Evinger with a punch during the initial round, and was awarded the Bonus Performance of the Night. Her first major fight at The UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against.
